Spider-Man: Brand New Day has claimed the title of highest-grossing domestic release of all time, surpassing Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The 2015 Star Wars film had held the record for over a decade with $936 million. Tom Holland's latest Spider-Man adventure has now exceeded that figure, reaching $936.773 million after 47 days in theaters. The Sony and Marvel release has taken in $2.45 billion around the world, placing it third on the all-time earnings list. Its theatrical run opened in late July, setting records with $360 million in North America and $932 million worldwide during its debut weekend. The film's staying power has been driven by euphoric word of mouth. For Marvel, the success marks a much-needed win following a rough 2025 that included commercial disappointments like Captain America: Brave New World and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
