Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Newsoras, including the Newsoras website, accounts, subscriptions, Newsoras AI, Ask Thinkers, historical-lens features, articles, applications, APIs where offered, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

"Newsoras," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the legal entity that operates Newsoras, as identified in our Privacy Policy and applicable legal notices.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits, or waives any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited, or waived under applicable consumer-protection or other mandatory law.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating a Newsoras account, purchasing a subscription, checking a box indicating your acceptance, or otherwise expressly agreeing to these Terms, you enter into an agreement with Newsoras.

Use of publicly accessible portions of the website is also subject to the applicable rules governing acceptable use, intellectual property, security, and lawful conduct described below.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not create an account, purchase a subscription, or use features requiring acceptance of these Terms.

2. What Newsoras provides

Newsoras is a news, information, analysis, and artificial-intelligence platform.

Different Newsoras features have different levels of human involvement. A published Newsoras article and an automatically generated AI answer are not the same type of content and should not be treated as such.

3. Editorial content and AI-assisted journalism

Newsoras may use artificial intelligence, retrieval systems, automated research tools, translation systems, summarization tools, and other software to assist its editorial processes.

Where Newsoras represents that published editorial content has undergone human editorial review, that statement applies to the published editorial content covered by that representation.

It does not mean that every AI-generated response, Ask Thinkers conversation, search result, recommendation, suggestion, or other interactive output has been individually reviewed or approved by a human before being displayed.

Newsoras may correct, update, expand, retract, or otherwise modify editorial content as additional information becomes available. No news service can guarantee that every published fact will remain complete, current, or correct at all times.

4. Newsoras AI and interactive AI features

Certain Newsoras features use generative artificial intelligence. When you use these features, you are interacting with an AI system unless Newsoras expressly tells you otherwise.

AI-generated responses may be created automatically and may not receive human review before they are shown to you.

Generative AI is probabilistic technology. It can produce content that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, inconsistent, incorrectly attributed, or entirely fabricated. This can occur even when an answer appears confident, detailed, well-written, or includes references.

An AI response should be treated as informational material to be evaluated, not as an authoritative determination of fact.

5. Sources, retrieval, citations, and grounding

Some Newsoras AI features use articles, documents, historical works, databases, retrieval-augmented generation ("RAG"), search systems, or other reference material to produce responses.

These systems are designed to improve relevance and traceability, but they do not eliminate the possibility of error.

Where Newsoras displays a quotation, passage, source, citation, or link, you should consult the underlying source when accuracy matters.

The presence of citations or retrieved passages does not constitute a guarantee that every part of the generated answer is supported by those materials.

6. Ask Thinkers and historical reconstructions

Ask Thinkers and similar features are AI-generated historical reconstructions. They are designed to explore how ideas contained in a historical figure's writings may illuminate modern questions.

Unless explicitly presented as a verified quotation, words generated by Ask Thinkers were not spoken or written by the historical person and must not be represented as authentic quotations from that person.

For example, an AI-generated response written in the first person as Machiavelli, Adam Smith, Karl Marx, Nietzsche, Freud, Epictetus, Oscar Wilde, Leonardo da Vinci, Montesquieu, Cesare Beccaria, or another historical figure is a synthetic reconstruction created by Newsoras technology.

It is not a newly discovered statement, authentic correspondence, testimony, endorsement, prediction, or communication from that person. Applying historical ideas to events, technologies, institutions, or social conditions that did not exist during the person's lifetime necessarily involves interpretation.

Newsoras does not claim that a historical figure would actually have expressed the exact opinion generated by the system. Ask Thinkers is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any historical figure, estate, descendant, university, archive, publisher, foundation, or institution unless Newsoras expressly states otherwise.

7. No professional advice

Newsoras content and AI Outputs are provided for journalism, education, information, commentary, research, and general-interest purposes. They are not a substitute for professional advice.

You should not use Newsoras AI as the sole basis for decisions concerning your health, safety, legal rights, finances, investments, employment, credit, insurance, housing, or other significant personal or commercial matters.

Consult an appropriately qualified professional when professional judgment is required.

8. Financial, markets, crypto, and investment content

Newsoras may publish news or analysis about financial markets, companies, securities, commodities, cryptocurrencies, trading, monetary policy, or economic conditions. Such material is provided for informational and journalistic purposes.

Markets can move rapidly, and information can become outdated. You remain responsible for your own financial and investment decisions.

9. Health and safety information

Information concerning health, medicine, fitness, nutrition, psychology, safety, or similar subjects is general information only.

AI systems can misunderstand symptoms, contraindications, dosages, risks, or individual circumstances.

Do not delay or replace professional medical care because of information generated by Newsoras AI. Newsoras AI is not an emergency service.

10. Your responsibility when using AI Outputs

You are responsible for determining whether and how to use an AI Output. Before relying on information where accuracy could materially affect you or another person, you should independently verify the relevant facts and sources.

Nothing in this section removes any legal responsibility that applicable law requires Newsoras to retain.

11. User prompts and submitted content

You are responsible for the content that you submit to Newsoras. You must have the rights and lawful authority necessary to submit that content.

You may not intentionally use Newsoras to submit or generate material that violates applicable law or the rights of another person.

AI conversations should not be treated as privileged communications with a lawyer, doctor, psychologist, financial adviser, or other professional.

Newsoras may process your prompts and related technical information as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the Services, as further described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Third-party AI and infrastructure providers

Newsoras may rely on third-party technology providers for functions including artificial intelligence inference, cloud hosting, search, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, security, translation, and content delivery.

Information necessary to provide a requested feature may be processed by such providers in accordance with Newsoras's Privacy Policy and applicable agreements.

Newsoras may change technology providers as its infrastructure evolves. The use of third-party technology does not transform third-party content or services into Newsoras editorial content.

13. Accounts

Certain features require a Newsoras account. You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

You must notify Newsoras promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

14. AI questions, credits, and usage limits

Newsoras may impose limits on AI questions, requests, tokens, credits, conversations, models, features, or processing capacity. Credits or usage allowances may depend on your plan.

The specific entitlements displayed when you subscribe or purchase a plan form part of the terms of that transaction. Newsoras may use reasonable technical measures to prevent abuse or circumvention of usage limits.

15. Paid subscriptions

If Newsoras offers paid subscriptions, the applicable price, billing frequency, included features, and usage allowances will be disclosed before purchase.

Where a subscription renews automatically, that fact and the applicable billing frequency will be disclosed before purchase. You may cancel a recurring subscription using the cancellation method provided by Newsoras.

Cancellation ordinarily prevents future renewal and does not automatically invalidate access already paid for, subject to the applicable plan and mandatory law.

Any statutory rights concerning withdrawal, cancellation, refunds, consumer protection, or digital services remain unaffected. Newsoras will not use these Terms to remove rights that applicable law makes mandatory.

Material changes to paid plans that adversely affect existing contractual entitlements will be handled with the notice and protections required by applicable law.

16. Free services and experimental features

Newsoras may offer features without charge. Free, beta, preview, experimental, or promotional features may be changed, restricted, suspended, or discontinued prospectively.

Experimental features may be less reliable than generally available features. Where required by applicable law, Newsoras will provide appropriate notice before changes materially affect existing contractual rights.

17. Intellectual property

The Newsoras name, trademarks, logos, software, interface, graphics, original editorial content, designs, databases, and other proprietary materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except where permitted by law or expressly authorized by Newsoras, you may not reproduce, distribute, sell, republish, scrape, systematically extract, create a substitute service from, or commercially exploit Newsoras proprietary content.

Reasonable quotation of editorial content may be permitted where allowed by applicable law and accompanied by appropriate attribution.

Permission may be required for full republication, commercial syndication, dataset creation, or systematic model training using Newsoras content.

18. Use of AI Outputs

Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use AI Outputs generated for you for lawful personal purposes unless a particular feature or plan states otherwise.

Because AI-generated material may include or resemble existing material, Newsoras does not guarantee that an AI Output is eligible for copyright protection, unique, does not resemble another person's output, free from third-party rights, or appropriate for commercial publication.

You are responsible for reviewing an AI Output before publishing or distributing it. You may not knowingly present a synthetic Ask Thinkers response as an authentic historical quotation.

19. Third-party content and links

Newsoras articles and AI responses may reference or link to websites, publications, social networks, databases, videos, documents, or other resources operated by third parties.

A link or citation does not necessarily constitute endorsement. Newsoras does not control the continued availability, accuracy, security, terms, or privacy practices of third-party services.

When you leave Newsoras, the terms and policies of the third-party service may apply.

20. Corrections and changing information

News is inherently dynamic. Information that was accurate when published may later become incomplete or outdated.

Newsoras may update articles, source information, headlines, summaries, AI systems, databases, or other material as circumstances change.

If you believe Newsoras has published a factual error, you may submit a correction request through the channels provided on the site.

Newsoras may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security threats, investigate suspected fraud, prevent abuse, comply with law, protect users or third parties, prevent serious technical harm, or enforce these Terms.

Where a paid consumer account is affected, any suspension or termination remains subject to applicable consumer-protection rights.

23. Service availability

Newsoras aims to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical failures, internet outages, third-party failures, cyberattacks, model-provider interruptions, capacity limitations, legal requirements, or circumstances outside Newsoras's reasonable control.

Newsoras may modify technical architecture, models, retrieval systems, or infrastructure as the Services evolve.

24. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and subject always to mandatory consumer rights, the Services are provided on an "as available" basis.

Newsoras does not guarantee that every service will always be available, every AI response will be accurate, every source will remain accessible, every error will be detected, every feature will meet every user's particular purpose, or the Services will be entirely free from technical defects.

This section does not exclude warranties, guarantees, obligations, or remedies that applicable law does not permit Newsoras to exclude.

25. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Newsoras's liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law. In particular, nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights or remedies available to consumers.

For users acting in a commercial or professional capacity, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law, Newsoras will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising solely from use of the Services, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or loss of business data, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

The informational nature of Newsoras AI, the limitations of generative AI described in these Terms, and the requirement to independently verify consequential information are material characteristics of the Services.

26. Privacy

Our processing of personal information is governed by the Newsoras Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we process it, how AI interactions are handled, what service providers may process information, international data transfers, retention, security measures, and applicable privacy rights.

You should read the Privacy Policy before submitting personal or confidential information to Newsoras.

27. Children and minors

Newsoras is not intended to allow children to independently enter into contracts where applicable law requires parental or guardian authorization.

If you are below the age at which you may legally consent to the relevant service in your jurisdiction, you may use account or subscription features only with the involvement and authorization required by applicable law.

Additional restrictions may apply to particular AI features.

28. Changes to these Terms

Newsoras may update these Terms when necessary to reflect new features, legal or regulatory changes, security requirements, changes in technology, new subscription products, or changes in business operations.

Material changes affecting existing contractual rights will be communicated as required by applicable law. Where appropriate, Newsoras may require you to expressly accept updated Terms before continuing to use account, subscription, or AI features.

Changes will apply prospectively from their stated effective date unless applicable law requires otherwise.

29. Governing law and consumer rights

These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the Newsoras operating entity, subject to mandatory laws that protect users and consumers in their country of residence.

Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of protections or jurisdictional rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Before publication, this section should identify the exact Newsoras operating legal entity, registered address, and governing jurisdiction.

30. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

An invalid provision will not be interpreted to remove mandatory rights provided by applicable law.

31. No waiver

Failure by Newsoras to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion does not necessarily constitute a waiver of that provision in the future.
