Garfield's Candid Confession
Andrew Garfield has not yet watched 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' or 'The Odyssey,' despite their success. Speaking at the premiere of his historical action drama 'The Uprising' at the DGA in West Hollywood on Wednesday, he said he doesn't want to be disingenuous and will reach out to Tom Holland after seeing the films.[S1]
Garfield, who played Spider-Man in two films and reprised the role in 'No Way Home' alongside Holland and Tobey Maguire, expressed excitement to see the new movie. He noted that 'Brand New Day' has grossed $891 million domestically and is expected to become the first film to earn $1 billion in North America alone.[S1]
Addressing Avengers Rumors
When asked if he appears in 'Avengers: Doomsday,' Garfield firmly said he is not. Reminded of his history of denying involvement in 'No Way Home,' he smiled and said people will find out one way or another.[S1]
Garfield also discussed his role in 'The Uprising,' directed by Paul Greengrass, where he plays a fictional leader of a rebellion against King Richard II in 1831. He performed most of his own stunts, admitting he's not young anymore and relied on ice packs for his knees.[S1]
