Allegations of AI-Generated Abuse
A group of parents and students at Colegio Modelo de Lomas in Lomas de Zamora staged a protest outside the school after denouncing that students had used photographs of their female classmates to feed an artificial intelligence system and create nude images, which they then resold on adult websites. The complaint became public in recent hours and prompted parents to mobilize in groups to seek answers from school authorities. It also led to a criminal complaint in which two 15-year-olds are charged with producing sexual material.[S1]
According to information provided by families, at least four third-year students at the Lomas de Zamora institution participated in a group where this type of AI-generated content was shared. The images were reportedly created from photographs of nearly 40 female students and then circulated on various pornographic content pages and platforms. The case may affect between 30 and 50 victims, and the responsible individuals have already been identified.[S2][S3]
Micaela, mother of one of the affected students, told TN that families learned of the situation from the students themselves. She said the school supposedly knew about it for a month but instead of calling the parents, decided to cover it up and hide the information. She also said the material was not limited to a private student group: it was sold, shared with other schools in the area, and uploaded to porn sites with the girls' full names, and catalogs were made.[S1][S2]
School Under Fire for Response
The main criticism from families concerns the school's initial response. According to the complaint, the measure taken against the students involved was a note in the communication notebook. Families also said the school told the girls to stay quiet while they cried during recess, and that they were told not to say anything so parents would not find out. The school allegedly denied a first meeting until finally agreeing to one on Wednesday.[S2][S3]
On Wednesday morning, dozens of students stayed at the school gate without entering classes. While community members demonstrated outside, a smaller group of parents managed to enter the building and hold a meeting with school directors and education authorities. According to the reconstruction by TN, the General Education Inspectorate listened to the parents and decided that the accused students would stop attending school in person and continue their studies virtually.[S1][S3]
Judicial Investigation and Next Steps
Alongside the administrative measures, a judicial investigation began this week. According to judicial sources consulted by the site, one of the teenagers who participated in making the photos asked his classmates for money to not turn them in. When they refused, he leaked the information to one of the girls whose photos had been used to generate sexual material. Two 15-year-olds are charged. The school has not made statements but announced that a communiqué to the community is being prepared to explain the case.[S1]
Families are now trying to determine how far the images spread and who had access to the material. Micaela expressed fear about not knowing how far the fake images created with her daughter's face may have reached. The case has raised concerns among students and their families, who are demanding an investigation into how the photographs were obtained, who participated in creating and disseminating the material, and what measures will be taken within the institution.[S1][S2]
