Waterhouse Would Open Doors for Her Daughter
Suki Waterhouse has indicated she would happily leverage her industry contacts to assist the daughter she shares with Robert Pattinson, should the child eventually want an entertainment career. Speaking with Nylon, the Daisy Jones & The Six performer was asked if she would steer their two-year-old, whose name remains private, toward Hollywood or music. Laughing, Waterhouse said she saw no reason to discourage it and would eagerly use her own connections to help, before joking that she had perhaps revealed too much.[S1]
The couple's daughter has two established performers as parents. Pattinson's screen credits include Twilight, The Batman, Mickey 17 and Primetime, while Waterhouse has built a music career alongside her acting work, most recently releasing her third studio album, Loveland. Waterhouse told Nylon that her life has changed considerably since their daughter arrived in 2024, and that being a parent has made her turn down opportunities more often than she once would have. She described the value of being able to say she wants to stay home with her child.[S1]
How Parenthood Has Reshaped Their Priorities
Waterhouse also described how her working habits have shifted. She said that in the past, if someone mentioned an opportunity in Paris that required leaving the next day, she would have gone. Studio work, she noted, means being away and keeping late hours, so once a project ends she now treats certain periods and days as protected time. Pattinson, for his part, spoke about fatherhood last year in an interview with Icon Magazine, saying he has far more patience and that he genuinely enjoys spending time with babies, which came as a surprise to him.[S1]
Pattinson also remarked on the oddity of having ordinary conversations about subjects such as schools or daycares since becoming a father. He described the change as a strange gravitational pull, adding that he now feels he has to wear Patagonia puffer jackets and cargo shorts. The two accounts together suggest that both performers are reorganizing their professional lives around their daughter while remaining active in film and music.[S1]
