Nepal's men's cricket quarter-final against Sri Lanka at the 20th Asian Games was abandoned due to rain in Nagoya, ending Nepal's participation. The match at Korogi Sports Park could not start because of continuous rainfall, and no toss was held, according to the Cricket Association of Nepal. With the game called off, Sri Lanka moved into the semi-finals under tournament regulations that award the win to the higher-ranked side in the International Cricket Council's Twenty20 rankings. Rain also cancelled the quarter-finals scheduled for Monday between India and Afghanistan and between Pakistan and Hong Kong, with not a single ball bowled. India and Pakistan advanced as the top-ranked teams in those matchups. The semi-finals are set for Thursday, October 15, and the men's cricket bronze and gold medal matches are scheduled for Saturday, October 17.
