A four-month-old baby, identified as Emma Cabral, died on Sunday after being attacked by a pitbull in a house on O'Brien Street at 4300, in Ingeniero Pablo Nogués, part of the Malvinas Argentinas district in Buenos Aires province. The baby's aunt, Micaela, told Canal Provincial that the attack occurred while Emma was sleeping. The dog approached suddenly and bit her on the head. In desperation, the mother ran out with the baby 'all bloody' in her arms and fell to the ground near the corner. This incident occurred three weeks after a similar tragedy in Villa La Lonja, Córdoba, where a pitbull killed a three-year-old boy. In that case, the child was with his father on the street in front of their house when the dog, owned by neighbors, attacked suddenly.
