A holiday debut about meeting the family

Olivia Rodrigo has shared her first Christmas song, titled Take Me Home (4 Christmas). The premise is the nervous first encounter with a partner's extended relatives on their home ground, and the track was written with Dan Nigro and Amy Allen, the collaborators she has worked with regularly. A music video accompanies the song, with Saturday Night Live cast member Ben Marshall playing Rodrigo's boyfriend and Cynthia Nixon cast as his mother.[S1][S2][S3][S4][S6]

The single lands as a follow-up to the video for her Expectations remix, which featured David Byrne and her touring partner Chappell Roan. Both that remix and the new holiday track appear on You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So in Love, the album Rodrigo released in 2026 and is now carrying around the world on her Unraveled Tour.[S1]

A tour, a festival and a Handmaid's Tale song

The Unraveled Tour's opening acts include Grace Ives, Wolf Alice, Devon Again, the Last Dinner Party and Die Spitz. Earlier in the year Rodrigo also started her own charity music festival, Daisy Chain Fields, whose first edition took place in California in August and drew inspiration from Lilith Fair. The bill brought together female artists across a wide age range, from Quiet Light to the Breeders.[S1]

That festival raised $20 million for beneficiaries including Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights. At the event Rodrigo also gave a first performance of a new song, Serena Joy, which was inspired by The Handmaid's Tale.[S1]
