Approval Granted After Revised Proposal
The Chilean Ministry of Sport announced on Tuesday, July 21, that it authorized BTS's three concerts at the Estadio Nacional for October 14, 16, and 17. The decision came after the promoter DG Medios incorporated technical modifications to safeguard the stadium's infrastructure. The National Institute of Sports (IND) approved the stadium's availability following a review of the new proposal. Approximately 200,000 tickets had already been sold, with all three dates sold out. DG Medios thanked the authorities for collaborating to find a solution.[S1][S2][S3][S4][S5]
Measures to Protect the Stadium
The revised plan includes a 360-degree stage design that avoids heavy machinery on the grass. Production maneuvers will be carried out using cranes operated from the athletic track. A special cover will maintain ventilation and respiration of the turf through protective technologies. An engineering study supports that these measures will reduce the estimated recovery time for the pitch compared to the original proposal. The decision was communicated to Club Universidad de Chile, the Chilean Football Federation (ANFP), and Club Atlético Santiago to coordinate future sports and cultural activities.[S1][S2][S4][S5]
