Tingley's double sets Canada on course
Canada opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Reed Tingley found the net with a left-footed effort from inside the penalty area. Norway then conceded a spot kick after Vilde Vinje fouled Adri Giese in the box, and a video review confirmed the referee's decision. Tingley converted in the 32nd minute, placing the ball into the bottom right corner to double Canada's advantage.[S1]
Norway responded just before the interval. Stine Ariell Klæbo-Solemdal headed home in first-half stoppage time, in the 45th minute plus three, to reduce the deficit to 2-1 and send the teams into the break with the match still in the balance.[S1]
Fairweather restores cushion before late scare
Canada reasserted control in the 78th minute when Adalyn Fairweather struck a right-footed shot from outside the box that beat Norway's goalkeeper. Norway answered again in the 84th minute through Hanne Nesse, setting up a tense closing stretch, but Canada held its lead to claim all three points.[S1]
