A Long-Awaited Return
Black Eyed Peas performed in Argentina for the first time in 16 years on Friday, September 4, at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires. The group, composed of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo, was joined by J. Rey Soul for a nearly two-hour concert filled with their greatest hits. Their last Argentine show was in 2010 at the GEBA stadium during The E.N.D. World Tour, when Fergie was still a member. After her departure, J. Rey Soul, a Filipino-American singer discovered by apl.de.ap on The Voice Philippines, joined the lineup. The concert opened shortly after 9 p.m. with "Let's Get It Started," followed by "Boom Boom Pow" and "Rock That Body" from The E.N.D. The setlist spanned their career, including Latin-infused tracks like "RITMO (Bad Boys for Life)" with J Balvin and "MAMACITA." Emotional Highlights and a Proposal
A memorable moment came during "Where Is the Love?" when the band invited a fan named Moro, a singer, to perform the song's verses. Her partner, Feche Insaurralde, then joined her on stage to propose marriage. The couple had met at a Black Eyed Peas show years earlier.
