Surgery Confirmed for All Blacks Captain
Ardie Savea, the All Blacks captain, will undergo surgery on his injured shoulder, the team confirmed today. The loose forward dislocated the shoulder during the All Blacks' 29-24 loss to the Springboks on the greatest rivalry tour in South Africa. Savea's injury adds to a growing casualty list for the All Blacks. Luke Jacobson and Caleb Clarke are also sidelined for the remainder of the year. Jacobson was recovering from an elbow tendon injury sustained in the same match as Savea's shoulder dislocation, while Clarke was recovering from a ruptured shoulder tendon.[S1]
