AEW announces death of Benjamin Satterley
All Elite Wrestling has announced that Benjamin Satterley, the high-flying champion known to AEW and WWE audiences as Pac, Bastard, Adrian Neville and Neville, has died. He was 40. The circumstances of his death have not been made clear. Satterley appeared at AEW's All Out pay-per-view event in Chicago on Saturday night, where he challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship and lost.[S1]
In its statement, AEW described Satterley as a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, who began wrestling in 2004 and went on to perform for organizations around the world, drawing fans with innovative high-flying moves and remarkable in-ring ability. The company noted that he signed with AEW in 2019, held multiple AEW championships and took part in some of the most memorable matches in its history. While competing in AEW, Satterley captured the All-Atlantic Championship and claimed the World Trios Championship on two occasions. In WWE's developmental territory, he secured the NXT Championship before going on to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship twice. Fans knew him by the nickname "The Man that Gravity Forgot," a nod to his trademark finishing maneuver — an acrobatic corkscrew shooting star press delivered from the top rope.[S1]
