Spin-Off Officially Shelved
Taylor Sheridan, the co-creator of the popular series Yellowstone, has revealed that the anticipated spin-off 6666, focusing on the Four Sixes Ranch, is not going ahead. In an interview on the Rodeo Time podcast, Sheridan firmly stated that he would never create a fictionalized version of the ranch, despite Paramount's initial announcement of the project's development in 2021. The Four Sixes Ranch, located in King County, Texas, was prominently featured in seasons four and five of Yellowstone, where the character Jimmy Hurdstrom, portrayed by Jefferson White, was sent to learn the ways of a cowboy.[S1][S2][S3]
The decision marks a reversal from earlier plans, as Paramount had officially announced the spin-off during its Upfront presentation in 2022. Sheridan, who purchased the ranch with a group of investors in 2020, explained that owning the property changed his perspective.
