A producer role, not a writing one
Lauren LeFranc, who ran and executive produced The Penguin, is negotiating to join a Poison Ivy-focused series from Warner Bros. and DC Comics as a producer, Deadline reports, citing people it did not name. Her involvement would be limited to producing; she is not in line to write the adaptation of the DC character. At present the project has no writers attached at all.[S1][S2][S3][S4][S5][S6][S8]
The series has been tracked for many months, with movement held up while the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger played out. Should it be picked up, it would be carried by HBO. It would also stand apart from the Batman continuity overseen by Matt Reeves, in which Robert Pattinson plays the Gotham City hero, according to the sources cited.[S1][S6][S7]
Who Poison Ivy is on the page
Poison Ivy was created by Carmine Infantino and Robert Kanigher, and DC Comics has called her Batman's Floral Femme Fatale. The character is the alias of Dr. Pamela Isley, who can bend anyone to her will through pheromones and commands the plant life around her as a kind of army.[S1]

No performer has been cast in the lead. Poison Ivy has appeared only sparingly in recent DC Studios output; among the exceptions is HBO Max's adult animated Harley Quinn, where Lake Bell voiced her. In live action, Bridget Regan played her on the CW's Arrowverse drama Batwoman, and Peyton List held the part earlier on Fox's Gotham. Uma Thurman, Clare Foley and Maggie Geha are among the other performers who have portrayed her.[S1]
LeFranc's production record
Beyond The Penguin, LeFranc has written and produced episodes across a range of series. Her credits include the YouTube Premium show Impulse, ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., NBC's Chuck and the Christian Slater-led My Own Worst Enemy, also for NBC.[S1]
