The initial invitation and the title mistake

Kylie Kelce, 34, invited the Princess of Wales onto her podcast during the Sept. 24 episode of Not Gonna Lie, but used a title that is no longer current. Kelce addressed the royal with a style that combined a former first name and a previous ducal title, and suggested they could chat about field hockey and children, noting they have a few things in common.[S1]

A listener comment and a direct apology

During Thursday's edition of Not Gonna Lie, Kelce shared a listener's remark describing Middleton as too elegant and lovely to endure Kelce's swearing, with the comment also advising Kelce to improve her language. Kelce expressed agreement with that view. She went on to say she hopes to have Middleton on the show to talk about their mutual background in field hockey, the royal's cancer fight, and additional subjects. Kelce also conceded that Middleton likely lacks the time to join the podcast.[S1]

Kelce offered the future queen a straightforward apology, stating she was sorry and pledging to correct the title right away. She further noted that although she enjoys profanity, she would never swear in Middleton's presence, and that she treats the circumstances she finds herself in and the individuals she addresses with respect. Since September 2022, Middleton's official title has been Catherine, Princess of Wales, a change that came when Prince William took on the Prince of Wales role and his father Charles became king after Queen Elizabeth II passed away.[S1]
