The day after the incident, Iavícoli broke her silence and responded publicly. She said she was stunned by the number of messages from important people and by the support she received. She mentioned that Nora, a colleague, visited her dressing room and seemed troubled. Iavícoli stated she has no problem with Nora or with Wanda, but noted that Wanda does not like her, though she does not know why. She suggested it would have been easier for Nara to say that it was a recent news item, that it was her day, and that she would share information when she knew something.
