The Newcomers and the Veterans
Six newcomers are in the field, including Alex Fitzpatrick, Fox Gerrard, Kirstoffer Lee, Min Woo Lee, Nepo Raiten, and Ryan Smally. Min Woo Lee is one of two Australians competing, along with Adam Scott, who secured his spot with a tied-16th finish at the BMW Championship. The Future of the Tour Championship
On Tuesday, PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp revealed that starting in 2028, the season will wrap up with a two-week match-play Championship Series, replacing the conventional 72-hole stroke-play format. This weekend's tournament is one of the last in its current form, as East Lake will host the final two FedEx Cup finals this year and next.[S5]
